Quick answer

What is Real Time Dispatch Tracking?

Real time dispatch tracking is live visibility into a field engineer visit: acceptance, en route status, confirmed arrival, task milestones, and completion. Deploris reports each stage to you as it happens, tied to your ticket or change reference, so you can update stakeholders, release the next dependency, or escalate without calling for status.

WHAT THE WORK COVERS

What Real Time Dispatch Tracking includes.

  • 01Status milestones for each visit: assigned, en route, arrived, work started, blocked, completed
  • 02Arrival confirmation with a timestamp and the engineer on site
  • 03Task progress updates at points you define, such as device powered, cabling complete, or testing under way
  • 04Blocker notifications the moment access, parts, or approvals hold up the work
  • 05Updates tagged with your ticket, PO, or change reference so they can be attached to your own records
  • 06Escalation to the engagement manager when a milestone is missed against the agreed window

HOW WE DELIVER IT

How it is delivered.

  1. 1

    Agree the milestones

During scoping you choose which stages you need to see, where updates go, and who receives them. Typical audiences are a service desk, a project manager, or a site contact.

  2. 2

Tag the visit to your reference

The dispatch record carries your ticket, change, or PO number so every update can be matched to your system without manual lookup.

  3. 3

    Report during the visit

The engineer confirms arrival and reports progress and blockers. The engagement manager relays the updates and acts on anything that threatens the window.

  4. 4

    Close with the final status

Completion, partial completion, or return-visit-needed is recorded, and the status leads straight into the closeout report and time sign-off.

INPUTS AND OUTPUTS

What you provide and what you receive.

You provide

  • Your ticket, change, or PO reference for each visit
  • Who should receive updates and through which channel
  • The milestones that matter, for example arrival, work started, testing, handover
  • Escalation contacts and thresholds, for example how late is late

You receive

  • Arrival confirmation for every dispatched visit
  • Milestone updates tied to your reference
  • Immediate blocker alerts with the proposed resolution
  • A final status that feeds the closeout report

WHEN IT FITS

When this is the right deliverable.

Scenario 01

Your service desk must tell a branch manager when the technician will arrive and needs reliable status instead of chasing the engineer.

Scenario 02

A multi-site rollout depends on each site finishing before the next shipment ships, so you need live completion signals.

Scenario 03

You work under a service level where proof of arrival time matters and you want a timestamped record, not a phone call.

WHERE WE DELIVER

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions.

What does real time dispatch tracking show me?
It shows the status of each visit from assignment through completion: en route, arrived, work started, blocked, and finished, along with progress updates at milestones you define. Each update carries your ticket or change reference so you can attach it to your own records.
How do I know the engineer has actually arrived on site?
The engineer confirms arrival and the confirmation is timestamped in the dispatch record, then relayed to you. If the engineer has not checked in by the agreed time, the engagement manager contacts them and updates you with the reason and a revised time.
Can dispatch updates be linked to our ITSM ticket number?
Yes. Every dispatch record can carry your ticket, change, or purchase order reference, and updates are returned against it. That keeps your service desk records aligned with the field status and removes the need to cross-check by phone or email.
What happens if the engineer is blocked or running late?
You are told as soon as the blocker is known, not at the end of the visit. The engagement manager proposes a resolution, such as an access fix, a revised window, or a return visit, and records the decision in the dispatch record for your approval.
