Quick answer

What does this tool do?

This free tool compares the words in a job description with the words in your CV and shows what matches, what is missing and how readable the layout is. It runs in your browser with simple text matching, no AI, and nothing you paste is uploaded or stored.

Private by design: the check runs in your browser. Your CV and the job text are not uploaded, stored or shared, and no AI is used.

HOW IT WORKS

How to use it.

  1. Paste the job description. Copy the full text of the advert, including the requirements section.
  2. Paste your CV as plain text. Copy the text of your CV from your document. Plain text is enough.
  3. Run the check. Select Check my CV. The score, matched keywords and missing keywords appear straight away.
  4. Edit your CV honestly. Add a missing term only where it is true for you, then run the check again.

BE HONEST

What it does not do.

  • It measures keyword overlap and basic layout. It does not predict whether you will get an interview.
  • It is not how any particular hiring system scores a CV. Systems differ and most are reviewed by people.
  • It cannot judge the quality of your experience. Never add a skill or certification you do not have.

YOUR DATA

Your data.

Everything happens in your browser. The job description and CV are not sent to a server, not saved on this device and not shared. Closing or refreshing the page clears them. No AI or external service is used.

Intended for: Field engineers and IT technicians applying for jobs, including people joining the Deploris engineer network.

QUESTIONS

Common questions.

Does this tool use AI?
No. It uses fixed text rules: it finds the repeated and required terms in the job description, checks whether they appear in your CV, and runs a set of layout checks. The same input always gives the same result.
Is my CV stored or uploaded?
No. The check runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste is sent to Deploris or anyone else, and nothing is saved on your device.
What is a good keyword match score?
There is no official pass mark. As a rough guide, 70 percent or more means your CV already uses most of the terms the job asks for. A lower score may mean the job is a weaker fit, or that your CV does not describe work you have really done in the same words.
Should I add every missing keyword?
No. Add a term only if it is true. Copying skills you do not have wastes the employer's time and usually shows at interview. Use the missing list to spot real experience you forgot to mention.
Does a high score guarantee an interview?
No. It shows overlap in wording, not suitability. Employers also look at experience, certifications, location, availability and how clearly your CV reads.
