Professional Structured Cabling Installation.

Professional installation by certified cabling technicians

Part of Structured Cabling. Last reviewed October 2026.

Quick answer

What is Professional Structured Cabling Installation?

Professional structured cabling installation is the physical build of the cabling system: installing containment, pulling cable, terminating both ends, and mounting panels and outlets to an approved design. Deploris sends vetted, background-checked technicians who match the manufacturer qualification named in your written scope, and hands over a labelled, tested system.

WHAT THE WORK COVERS

What Professional Structured Cabling Installation includes.

  • 01Containment installation, including cable tray, basket, trunking, conduit, and floor boxes
  • 02Horizontal cable pulls with tension and bend radius control for Cat6A and fiber
  • 03Termination at patch panels and outlets using one consistent pin-out, typically T568B, across the whole site
  • 04Fiber backbone pulls, splicing or pre-terminated cassette installation, and enclosure mounting
  • 05Cabinet and rack assembly, including cable management and grounding bonds where specified
  • 06Firestopping of every penetration with an approved system, logged by location
  • 07After-hours or phased work in occupied buildings, coordinated with other trades

HOW WE DELIVER IT

How it is delivered.

  1. 1

    Confirm scope and access

Your engagement manager confirms the approved design, the technician qualification the manufacturer program requires, site induction needs, working hours, and material delivery and storage arrangements.

  2. 2

    Build pathways first

Containment, sleeves, and floor boxes go in ahead of cable so pulls follow the approved routes and fill limits, and so other trades can see what space is taken.

  3. 3

    Pull, terminate, and label

Technicians pull cable without exceeding tension or bend limits, label both ends before termination, terminate to the panel and outlet, and firestop each penetration they open.

  4. 4

    Quality check before test

A lead technician walks the installation against the design, checking outlet positions, labels, dressing, and containment, so test failures are not caused by visible workmanship defects.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions.

Who installs the cabling on a Deploris project?
Vetted, background-checked field engineers local to your site, led by a named lead technician. If your chosen cable manufacturer requires installers to hold a specific certification for its warranty, we state that requirement in the written scope and assign technicians who meet it before work starts.
Can cabling be installed in a working office without disrupting staff?
Yes. Noisy or disruptive work such as drilling, coring, and ceiling access is scheduled for evenings and weekends, while quiet termination work can be phased by area. The plan, working hours, and any area restrictions are agreed in the written scope before the first technician arrives.
What happens if our site cannot give us access on schedule?
Access delays are common on fit-outs. We agree a revised sequence with you, redeploy technicians to areas that are ready, and tell you in advance if the delay changes cost. Pricing is engagement-based with no lock-in contract, and any change to scope is confirmed in writing first.
Do you firestop the holes you create?
Yes. Every penetration we open through a rated wall or floor is sealed with an approved firestop system and recorded in a log by location. The product and method must match what your landlord, building code, or insurer requires, and we confirm that requirement in the written scope.
